Lassi is a well known traditional Indian drink. It is enjoyed chilled as a hot-weather refreshment. It goes well with all
dishes and is good for digestion.
Serves 6:
Preparation time: 10 minutes
- Natural Plain Yoghurt – 500 gm
- Water – 100 ml (1 cup)
- Sugar – 6 tablespoon or to taste.
- Ice cubes – 4 (optional)
- Add 500 gms yoghurt, 100 ml water, 6 tablespoon sugar in a blender and blend for 5 minutes.
- Add crushed ice if desired and blend again.
Variation:
You can substitute sugar with salt to make salted Lassi. You can add mint, coriander, ginger, cumin seeds and
cucumber slices along with yoghurt in the blender for added taste.
Tips:
Lassi can be kept in the refrigerator for 2-3 days! Simply add crushed ice before drinking to make it chilled!
