Mangoes are a popular summer fruit enjoyed by one and all in India. It is delicious eaten on its own and as a dessert.
This is a very simple dessert that retains the taste of mango and also slightly enhances its taste by adding two other
complementary ingredients.
Serves 6:
Preparation time: 10 minutes
- Mango pulp – 150 ml
- Sweetened condensed milk – 2 teaspoon
- Almond flakes – 2 teaspoon
- To make mango pulp, remove the skin and stone of the mango and blend the pulp in a blender. Run the blend through
a sieve to ensure no fibres remain.
- Pour the pulp into small serving bowls. Spread out two teaspoon of sweetened condensed milk on top. Drag the milk
with a spoon to create a marbling effect.
- Sprinkle flaked almonds on top generously and refrigerate for half an hour.
Variation:
You can use ready made pulp available at most Indian stores to save time. If you prefer it less creamier, add single
cream instead of condensed milk.
Tips:
Garnishing can also be changed to sliced seasonal fruits or dry fruits like cashew nuts, pistachios and walnut.
