Panch Phoron - Bengali Five Spices
This is a very popular and commonly used whole spice mixture used in Bengal (Eastern Indian). It comprises five
whole spices mixed in equal proportions. It is added directly to hot oil to create best impact.
Makes 20 gm:
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
- Cumin Seeds, whole - 1 tablespoon
- Fennel Seeds, whole - 1 tablespoon
- Mustard Seeds, whole - 1 tablespoon
- Onion Seeds, whole - 1 tablespoon
- Fenugreek Seeds, whole - 1 tablespoon
- Add all five whole spices/seeds together. Store in an airtight container for later use.
